Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish year 5786, is one of the most significant festivals of Judaism. It commences the High Holy Days, a sacred time that involves prayers of repentance, family reunions, and long synagogue services spanning two days.
In Jewish theology, Rosh Hashanah is seen as the day when God examines everyone's deeds and enters their fate for the upcoming year into the Book of Life. The holiday is closely linked with introspection, renewal, and repentance.
This greeting from PM Modi comes just after he thanked Prime Minister Netanyahu for his birthday greetings and reiterated the historical ties of friendship and strategic relationships between Israel and India. His new greeting comes after the greetings he sent to Netanyahu on the Israeli Prime Minister's 75th birthday recently.
