Isha Ambani, the daughter of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and social worker Nita Ambani, has often been in the news for her stylish appearance and philanthropic role in cultural causes.
Her recent fashion appearance is a collaboration with luxury brand Roberto Cavalli, which has evolved into a months-long handmade bespoke couture gown.
The dramatic sleeveless dress in a bold pink color is an impressive combination of Italian opulence and Indian heritage.
At its foundation lies the ancient bandhani technique of Kutch—a delicate tie-dye process—exquisitely made by talented local craftsmen. The classic touch added a rich, textured feel that embodied the spirit of Indian craftsmanship.
Roberto Cavalli’s refined approach and signature flair added an extra layer of sophistication to the gown. The result is a seamless fusion of regional craftsmanship and high-end couture—an ensemble that stands out for both its cultural and artistic depth.
Stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania took to Instagram on July 21 to showcase Isha’s look, captioning the post: “A really special collaboration with Roberto Cavalli creating a couture gown for Isha that elegantly fused Indian craftsmanship with Italian couture. Handmade over months using classic bandhani traditionally from Kutch crafted by local artisans. The look designed by @faustopuglisi took inspiration from Cavalli’s 2012 collaboration with @vogueindia for Project Renaissance – which for me was very special.”
The style-conscious outfit soon earned praises on the internet, as enthusiasts filled the comment space. A fan commented, "Love the material but this would have been such a gorgeous piece of collab if the bandhani was combined with the Cavalli classic animal print!!!!"
