Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry have once again created online buzz. Just days after they were seen having dinner together in Montreal, the former Canadian Prime Minister was spotted cheerfully attending the pop star's sold-out Lifetimes Tour concert at Montreal's Bell Centre on July 30.
Social media was abuzz with photos and videos of Trudeau at the audience, looking happy and completely engaged in the performance. With a plain black T-shirt and huge grin, he looked like he was having the time of his life watching the show, cheering from the stands for his speculated girlfriend.
Fans couldn't get enough of the ex-PM's presence at the event. One fan had the following to say: "Love is blooming right there." Another added, "Love is in the Air or something?" A third user posted, "this is actually so cute wtf."
Speculation that the two were dating picked up speed ever since blurry images of them having dinner together in Montreal started surfacing online. Social media fans have already labeled them the new 'It' couple.
The couple were spotted dining at Le Violon, a quaint restaurant in Montreal's Le Plateau neighborhood, on July 28. As reported by People magazine, they even went into the kitchen to thank the crew personally and spent a bit of time speaking with chef Danny Smiles.
TMZ, which also released exclusive photos of the evening, said that the dinner included cocktails and a range of dishes — one of them being lobster. Nevertheless, the outlet quoted chef Danny Smiles as saying it seemed like a laid-back dinner between two buddies, nothing romantic happening.
Where Their Personal Lives Stand
The gossip mill started rolling just weeks following the public confirmation of Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom's breakup. The ex-lovers, who originally met at a Golden Globes party in 2016, became engaged on Valentine's Day 2019. They shared their daughter Daisy Dove in 2020 — their child together.
Conversely, Justin Trudeau publicly acknowledged his divorce from his wife, Sophie Grégoire, in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. Sophie was a former TV personality and shares children with Trudeau - Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.
