When it comes to fitness inspiration, Malaika Arora doesn't disappoint. With her dedication to yoga and functional training, the actress and wellness influencer has left fans impressed yet again—this time with a straightforward but efficient ab routine designed for those fighting resistant belly fat. In her latest Instagram clip, she posted a speedy core regime that only needs a yoga mat and drive.
Her caption said it all: "Strong core, zero equipment - just your mat and these exercises."
Toning the midsection is usually one of the most challenging fitness objectives even with a stringent workout and diet regimen. Malaika's painstakingly selected ab series is meant to engage the core from different planes while strengthening stability as well. The best part? These exercises are equipment-free, perfect for in-house workout sessions.
Lie on your mat and lift your upper body into a crunch while simultaneously drawing your knees toward your chest. Drive your elbows forward, aiming to meet in the center. Perform 12–15 reps for 3 sets to strengthen the lower abs.
It's all about balance here. Create a V-shape by lifting your torso and legs, straightening your arms parallel to your shins. Draw your knees in, then push them back out. Do 12–15 reps for 3 sets to activate the obliques.
Start in a lying position with arms straight overhead. When you crunch up, bring your knees in and reach toward your ankles to tap them. Perform 3 sets of 12–15 reps for a defined midsection.
Lay on your back, then press both your torso and legs together to make a V. Extend your arms straight along your legs and hold. Malaika recommends holding 12–15 counts, done over 3 sets, for a complete core burn.
For Malaika, basic training is not merely about looks. Through these four specific exercises, she stresses developing strength and stamina—providing a hassle-free approach to sparking your abs and confronting belly fat.
