For any parent, nothing is sweeter than seeing their child make it. Little wonder therefore that Sachin Tendulkar's happiness cannot be measured as his daughter, Sara Tendulkar, starts a new career venture. On Friday, the cricket legend beamed with pride to announce that Sara has opened her own Pilates Studio in Mumbai, a venture she has worked on diligently and persistently.
Sachin revealed that Sara's private passion venture, which she has been working hard on to make it a reality, is the studio.
The former cricketer took to his social media handle to share a stream of photographs from the opening ceremony. He was joined by his entire Tendulkar family, including wife Anjali and mother, to attend the event in support of Sara. The lone absentee was her brother Arjun Tendulkar, who had recently become engaged.
As a parent, you always wish your kids to discover something which they love to do. Seeing Sara open a Pilates studio has been one of those moments that fills up our hearts. She has constructed this journey with her own work and faith, brick by brick," Sachin posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
He further added, “Nutrition and movement have always been important in our lives, and to see her carry that thought forward, in her own voice, is truly special. Sara, we couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations on this journey you are about to commence.”
Sara is no stranger to the spotlight—her Instagram following exceeds 8 million, placing her among the most followed young celebrities globally.
In an earlier interview with India Today, Sara disclosed why she never thought of a career in cricket even though she was the daughter of the greatest icon of the game. "Never. It's been my brother's domain. I have played gully cricket, but never thought about it," she said.
Aside from her new business endeavor, Sara is also a director on her father's non-profit organization. She has a Master's degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London.
Meanwhile, her brother Arjun Tendulkar was in the news recently for his wedding to Saaniya Chandok, Director and Designated Partner of Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, a pet welfare and nutrition brand. Chandok is also the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, chairman of the Graviss Group.
Arjun is professionally a part of the Mumbai Indians' IPL team and plays for Goa in domestic cricket. The left-arm pacer didn't, however, play in a single match during the IPL 2025 season. Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians qualified for the playoffs but were eliminated in Qualifier 2 by the Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
