Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut responded sharply to the recent selfie debacle of veteran actress and MP Jaya Bachchan, calling her a "spoilt and privileged" woman.

In a bigoted reaction, Jaya pushed the fan back, shouting, "Yeh kya kar rahe ho? (What are you doing?)" The man stepped back. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and another parliamentarian Priyanka Chaturvedi was also around during the altercation.

Kangana slammed her political rival’s behavior by sharing the video on her Instagram stories, writing, “Most spoilt and privileged woman. People put up with her tantrums/nonsense just because she is @amitabhbachchan ji’s wife. That Samajwadi topi looks like a rooster comb, while she looks like a rooster cock!! Such disgrace and shame.”

This isn’t Kangana’s first time taking a jab at Jaya Bachchan. In 2020, Jaya had condemned Kangana for referring to the film world as a "gutter." Kangana had replied on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating, "Jaya ji, would you say the same if your daughter Shweta got beaten, drugged, and molested during her teenage years? Would you say the same if Abhishek had to put up with bullying and harassment every other day, or if he was found hanging one day? Show mercy towards us too.

Independently, Kangana welcomed the government's action to ban OTT platforms such as Ullu, ALTT, and Desiflix for airing soft porn content. In an interview with IANS exclusively, she termed the move significant for the preservation of Indian culture and to save future generations.

To maintain the entire culture of our nation and the future direction of our young ones, and so that our society does not entirely crumble, this move was long overdue and now much valued. The action against these apps, particularly the illegal ones, is greatly valued," stated the 'Simran' actress.
