Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened and laid foundation stones for Rs 12,992 crore works at Bodh Gaya on Friday.
Altogether, he dedicated 14 projects for enhancing connectivity and developing various regions, such as Buxar, Munger, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Begusarai, Gaya, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Lakhisarai, and Jamui.
Addressing a mammoth gathering in Gaya, PM Modi underscored the double-engine government's relentless efforts in propelling Bihar's development and shared how service to people gives him great satisfaction.
"Taking away troubles from the poor, easing the lives of women -- I derive maximum joy in serving people as their servant," PM Modi said while addressing the public rally.
Reiterating his dedication to 'housing for all,' the Prime Minister declared that he will not rest until all deserving people have a permanent dwelling, eliciting loud cheers and applause from the gathering.
"During the last 11 years, over four crore poor have been given permanent houses," he added.
PM Modi also handed over keys to 16,000 houses constructed under the PM Awas Yojana, which has benefited many families throughout the state.
Elaborating further on the vision of the NDA government for Bihar, he underscored that the development of the state at a very fast pace is high on the priority list of the Centre with all efforts to put it on the path of rapid growth.
Highlighting that the people of Bihar will immensely benefit from the newly introduced Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana.
From August 15, the Prime Minister's Developed India Employment Scheme has started in the nation. According to this scheme, when our youngsters join a job for the first time in the private sector, the Centre government will give them Rs 15,000 out of its own pocket. The private firms that employ them will also get an incentive from the government. This will also benefit Bihar's youngsters to a large extent," PM Modi elaborated.
The Prime Minister also lashed out against earlier RJD-Congress governments for extensive corruption, which, according to him, enabled criminals to roam freely and protected the corrupt.
He also accused the Mahagathbandhan (Congress, RJD, and Left) of standing in the way of the recently tabled Bill in Parliament aimed at removing Ministers, Chief Ministers, and even the Prime Minister in a case of complicity in crimes.
