The iPhone Air is distinguished with its groundbreaking titanium frame, which brings sophistication and strength together. The back boasts Ceramic Shield reinforcement, with the front sporting Ceramic Shield 2, providing three times more scratch resistance and making it the most resilient iPhone to date.

With a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR screen featuring ProMotion up to 120Hz, the iPhone Air contains Apple's most powerful chips — the A19 Pro, N1, and C1X — that provide unparalleled power efficiency. Camera aficionados will love the 48MP Fusion Main camera that can capture four-lens quality photography, while the 18MP Center Stage front-facing camera raises selfies to professional levels.

The base iPhone 17 also gets major overhauls in the form of the Center Stage front camera, a 48MP Fusion Main camera with optical 2x Telephoto, and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera for wide-angle and detailed photography. Its 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion accelerates gaming, scrolling, and general user interaction, while its new A19 chip promises high performance and long-term efficiency.

“iPhone 17 is a big upgrade with powerful features that make iPhone even more useful in your day-to-day life, from the bigger and brighter ProMotion display with 3x better scratch resistance, to all-day battery life with faster charging, the A19 chip for powerful performance, a fantastic 48MP Dual Fusion camera system, and the innovative Center Stage front camera — our best front camera yet,” said Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing.

For power users, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max offer a daring new design and an enormous step forward in performance. Both feature Apple's most advanced and energy-efficient chip, the A19 Pro, that enables advanced cameras, next-generation gaming, and AI-powered features.

Pro models incorporate a laser-welded vapor chamber inside a thermally conductive aluminum unibody, which provides optimal performance and stunning battery life. Their triple 48MP Fusion camera system — Main, Ultra Wide, and Telephoto — behaves like eight lenses, such as the longest optical-quality zoom ever on iPhone at 8x. The 18MP Center Stage front camera takes selfies to the next level.

Apple has also brought industry-first video features for filmmakers such as ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and genlock, allowing for easy integration among production configurations. Both Pro models have Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and, for the first time, Ceramic Shield on the rear, providing triple the scratch resistance.

Coming in deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max go on pre-order on September 12, with availability starting September 19.
