Microsoft rolls out new feature for Office Insiders on iOS

According to Windows Central, the Insider version of Word on iOS now supports listening to documents even when a device's screen is locked. Additionally, the Insider Office Mobile app now keeps track of PDF email attachments sent to Outlook. The documents will appear within the Shared tab in Office Mobile.

On March 3, the Income Tax Department had said that it conducted raids against Chinese firms, which deal in telecom products, and learnt that the companies were involved in tax evasion through fake receipts. The I-T Department had detected suppression of income of Rs 400 crore at that time. The raids were conducted in the second week of February across India, including the National Capital Region (NCR).

The Tesla CEO likely had around 83 million followers before the Twitter deal. However, as of now, he has over 89 million followers on the microblogging site. Meanwhile, a report by Time said that Musk's follower count has been significantly boosted by fake accounts. According to audience research tool SparkToro, Musk has nearly 7 per cent more fake followers than the median 41 per cent that accounts with similar sized followings have.
Apple explains why it is removing outdated apps

Apple said that developers of apps that have not been updated within the last three years and fail to meet a minimal download threshold are receiving "an email notifying them that their app has been identified for possible removal from the App Store". It means that the "app has not been downloaded at all or extremely few times during a rolling 12 month period", it said in an update late on Friday.

Samsung pips Apple to retakes top spot in global smartphone market in Q1

While Samsung's shipments declined 3 per cent (on-year), it was the only top-five smartphone brand to grow quarter-on-quarter. The South Korean tech giant shipped 74 million units of smartphones over the January-March period. Its market share rose to 23 per cent from 19 per cent last quarter, resulting in Samsung taking the top spot from Apple in Q1 2022, according to Counterpoint Research.
Elon Musk 'lines up' a new Twitter CEO once he takes over

WhatsApp likely working on multi-phone, tablet chatting

A screen found in a beta version of the app by the site WABetaInfo gives instructions for registering the device you are using as a "companion" by scanning a code with your main phone, though currently there does not appear to be an actual code to scan, reports The Verge. Meanwhile, a screen found in a previous beta showed that devices could be getting the ability to sync recent messages, even though they are end-to-end encrypted.
Smartphone app that could help screen neurological disease at home

The app uses a near-infrared camera, which is built into newer smartphones for facial recognition, along with a regular selfie camera to track how a person's pupil changes in size. These pupil measurements could be used to assess a person's cognitive condition, indicated the study, to be presented at the ACM Computer Human Interaction Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI 2022).
