1 mn 'Make in India' iPhones shipped in Q1 2022 as Apple grows 22%

According to data shared by market intelligence firm CyberMedia Research (CMR), iPhones in India registered an overall growth of 22 per cent in the Q1 2022, led by iPhone 12 and 13 sales. "Our insights point to the contribution of 'Make in India' iPhones in Q1 2022, increasing 50 per cent YoY. The contribution of newer generation iPhones, such as iPhone 13, is almost equal to iPhone 12," Prabhu Ram, Head- Industry Intelligence Group at CMR, told IANS.
I&B ministry blocks 16 YouTube news channels for spreading disinformation

Utilizing the emergency powers under the IT Rules, 2021, the Ministry vide two separate orders on April 22, issued directions for blocking of 16 YouTube based news channels and one Facebook account. The ministry noted that the content published by some of the India based YouTube channels referred to a community as terrorists, and incited hatred among the members of various religious communities.

New Apple iMac with M3 chip to arrive next year

M3 chip is "already in the works" and is currently undergoing testing, reports AppleInsider, quoting Mark Gurman from Bloomberg. The report did not reveal the details of what the chip will offer but it won't launch until the end of next year at the earliest. As for the M2 roadmap, the report outlined the plan as an M2 release in a new MacBook Air, entry-level MacBook Pro and Mac mini.
AR-VR headset market in Asia-Pacific to grow by 51% in next 5 yrs

The Boring Company, a project to build underground highways to alleviate traffic congestion, last week raised $675 million in its Series C round, taking its valuation up to $5.7 billion.
