Apple dominated the list of top 10 best-selling smartphones in 2021 globally, as seven out 10 smartphones in the list were iPhones, a new report said. According to market research firm Counterpoint, the top 10 best-selling smartphone models contributed 19 per cent to the total global smartphone unit sales in 2021, compared to 16 per cent in 2020.
Apple Mac mini may keep existing form factor in 2023
The Mac mini has not undergone any major revisions in its size or shape over a number of iterations, AppleInsider reported on Saturday. Google wins legal battle over song lyrics copyright
Google has won a legal battle against song lyrics platform Genius that claimed that the tech giant used its transcribed lyrics without permission in Search results. According to The Verge, a three-judge panel affirmed the earlier decision, saying that the lyrics are protected by copyrights that Genius doesn't own. Genius had sued Google in 2019, arguing that Google was scraping lyrics from its website in violation of Genius' copyright.
Samsung rolls out new update to undo app performance throttling
Samsung has started pushing out a new update to Solve the app throttling issue on Galaxy S22 series smartphones in South Korea. It is reported that several Galaxy S22 series phone users have started receiving a new update that brings the Game Performance Management Mode to the Game Optimisation Service (GOS) app. "South Korea has launched the GOS firmware for the S22 series, and the game performance is unblocked," reputed tipster Ice Universe said in a tweet recently.
