Apple fixes bug that accidentally kept some interactions with Siri

The bug, which was first introduced in iOS 15, automatically enabled the improved Siri & Dictation' setting that gives Apple permission to record, store, and review your conversations with Siri, reports ZDNet. Once Apple discovered the bug, the company turned off the setting for "many" Siri users with the release of the iOS 15.2 updates. With the second beta of iOS 15.4, users will be asked if they want to opt in or out after the update has been installed on their iPhone.
Geomagnetic storm destroys 40 SpaceX Starlink satellites

The escalation speed and severity of the storm caused atmospheric drag to increase up to 50 per cent higher than during previous launches, the company said in a statement late on Tuesday. The Starlink team commanded the satellites into a safe-mode where they would fly edge-on (like a sheet of paper) to minimise drag -- to effectively "take cover from the storm".

India's first NFT movie marketplace to help film producers earn more revenue

NFT, short for Non-Fungible Token, allows film producers and companies to buy and sell movie rights through advanced and secure blockchain technology. UK watchdog fines Meta $2 mn over Giphy acquisition

According to the CMA, Meta failed to notify the regulator about the resignation of three key employees and the reallocation of their roles. In November, the UK anti-trust watchdog had ordered Meta to sell Giphy, as the acquisition could harm social media users and UK advertisers. Facebook had moved to buy the online GIF platform in May 2020.
Twitter to let you send Direct Message straight from a tweet

Twitter feels the feature will make it easier to start a conversation from your timeline. "For when you want to reply directly to a Tweet's author, we're making it easier to DM them from your timeline to start a conversation," said the micro-blogging platform. "Now testing a DM icon on Tweets with some of you on iOS," it added. The test, however, has alerted civil servants and public safety experts.
