ShareChat, MX Media merge their short video apps in mega deal
The combined short-video app - the largest in the country - will reach over 300 million monthly active users (MAUs) and 100 million strong creators' community, the companies said in a statement. Post this transaction, MX Media and its shareholders will become strategic shareholders of ShareChat.
Amazon Fire TV brings new feature for customising live channels
According to Android Central, the update allows users to add live channels to the main menu's Live tab, making it easier to revisit one's favourites the next time the user wants to watch live programming. Users can select live channels from both their free and paid services, the report said. Prior to this update, the live channels were tucked away under different content rows such as Live Sports and Breaking News.

In 2021, Mohalla Tech cumulatively raised $913 million, at a valuation of $3.7 billion. The acquisition, sources close to the development told IANS, will further bolster ShareChat's short-video market share through the platform Moj. When contacted, the companies declined to immediately comment on the development.

Sony releases voice commands feature to PS5 in new beta update

WarnerMedia, Discovery get US nod to create new streaming giant
AT&T in May last year announced to spin off its media business WarnerMedia and merge it with TV company Discovery, creating a major new player in the media world to compete with streaming giants like Netflix and Disney. The all-stock deal will see AT&T receive $43 billion in a combination of cash, debt securities, and debt retention on the part of WarnerMedia. AT&T bought WarnerMedia in 2016 for $85.4 billion.

Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8+ will be available in the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant as well as the 12GB + 256GB option.
Samsung unveils Galaxy S22 series to redefine premium experience
The company also introduced Galaxy S22 and S22+ devices with dynamic cameras and advanced intelligent image processing, among other features. Galaxy S22 Ultra with an immersive 6.8-inch, Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a 5,000mAh battery housing Android 12 and One UI 4.0 will be available from February 25 in select markets in Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Burgundy colours in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB models with 8GB and 12GB RAM.
