$4.4 mn stolen in attack on blockchain infrastructure Meter

The company said it manages an infrastructure that allows smart contracts to scale and travel through heterogeneous blockchain networks. The Meter network, as well as the Moonriver network, were affected by the hack, reports ZDNet. Blockchain research company PeckShield confirmed that 1391 ETH and 2.74 BTC were stolen during the incident, the report said.
Apple begins mass production of iPhone SE 3, iPad Air 5: Report

According to the Japanese blog Mac Otakara, the new iPhone SE will retain the same chassis design as the current model released in 2020, and the device will apparently continue to lack support for MagSafe accessories. The new iPad Air is also expected to launch with Apple's A15 Bionic chip, a 12MP Ultra-Wide front camera with Center Stage, Quad-LED True Tone flash, and 5G support on cellular models.
Amazon may acquire fitness bike maker Peloton

Amazon has been speaking to advisers about a potential deal, reports Wall Street Journal. Peloton reported a net loss of $376 million for Q1 2022, sending its stock into freefall the same day Planet Fitness reported it had exceeded expectations. The company has lost over $20 billion in value since November.

The incident began on August 1, 2021, when Morley's data became unavailable. Michigan-based Morley thereafter began collecting contact information needed to provide notice to potentially affected 521,046 individuals, which was completed in early 2022, the company said last week. Some of them had their Social Security numbers leaked in the attack.
Google commits to add over 100 new games to Stadia in 2022

To help reach that goal of 100 games on Stadia by the end of 2022, Google has confirmed one new title. Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires will be released on February 15, reports 9to5Google. Google is also expanding the library of Stadia games by adding four Stadia Pro games for February 2022. The February 2022 games "Life Is Strange Remastered, Life Is Strange: Before The Storm Remastered, Cosmic Star Heroine, Merek's Market, Nanotale - Typing Chronicles, One Hand Clapping, and PHOGS" are now available for Stadia Pro subscribers.
Meta adds personal boundary to VR avatars to stop sexual harassment

Meta has announced a 'Personal Boundary' feature for Horizon Worlds and Horizon Venues virtual reality (VR) systems. The feature will, by default, make it feel like there is an almost four-foot distance between your avatar and others. "Over time, we'll continue to make improvements as we learn how this affects people's experiences," said Vivek Sharma, Vice President, Horizon.
Tesla vehicle with FSD Beta reportedly runs into pole

According to the auto-tech website Electrek, last month, CEO Elon Musk was claiming that Tesla's FSD Beta had yet to have an accident in over a year into the programme. That is despite a Model Y owner in the FSD Beta claiming in a complaint to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that the system caused a crash, but the complaint could not be confirmed.
Apple may launch new high-end Mac mini this spring

According to MacRumors, the release date rumor comes by cross-referencing recent reports from display analyst Ross Young and Mark Gurman, both of whom often provide accurate insights into Apple's plans. In December 2021, Young said that a new iMac Pro model with a mini-LED display was going to launch in the spring, and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also floated the possibility of this machine being announced at a spring event, likely in March or April.
