MediaTek emerges as preferred chipset partner in India in 2021: Report
According to market research firm techARC, out of the total 117 smartphone models launched in the first half (Jan-Jun), 54 smartphone models used a MediaTek SoC. However, Qualcomm led the 5G smartphone launches with 20 out of 35 models using its chipset. The report said that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 and MediaTek's Helio G35 tie for number 1 chipset with maximum number of smartphone models launched by OEMs.
OnePlus 9 RT is launching in October in India, China: Report
According to Android Central, the smartphone will offer modest upgrades over the OnePlus 9R. As for availability, the OnePlus 9 RT will debut in the India and China markets, similar to the 9R. This is the only phone in the numbered flagship series that's on the cards for later this year; there will be two Nord launches, but no new devices aimed at the high-end segment, the report said citing sources.

Facebook empowers small business advertisers in India

Now share same tweet in up to 20 separate DM conversations
This functionality is part of several new features that Twitter announced to its direct messages (DMs) on Thursday. "No more (awkward) accidental group chats when you DM a Tweet to multiple people. Now you can share the same Tweet in up to 20 different DM convos, separately," the company said in a tweet. The feature is coming to the iOS and web versions of Twitter first and soon to Android over the coming weeks.

Workrooms is a virtual meeting space where you and your colleagues can work better together from anywhere. You can join a meeting in VR as an avatar or dial into the virtual room from your computer by video call. FB purges over 20 mn pieces of content for violating Covid norms
Since the start of the pandemic last year till June this year, Facebook removed over 3,000 accounts, pages, and groups for repeatedly violating the rules against spreading Covid-19 and vaccine misinformation, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. The social networking platform has also displayed warnings on more than 190 million pieces of Covid-related content on Facebook.
