Poco M7 Plus 5G Debuts with Massive 7,000mAh Battery and 144Hz Display, Starting at Rs 13,999

Poco has launched its new smartphone in India today, the Poco M7 Plus, with two key points of differentiation: a large screen and an enormous battery. Priced below Rs 15,000, it makes an interesting proposition, although the positioning is a bit ambiguous with the Poco M7 Pro positioned just above it. Then there's the Poco M7, which is cheaper and acts as the starter product for the brand's very large M7 series.

Poco M7 Plus Specifications and Features

The Poco M7 Plus has a 6.9-inch screen with a 1080p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Although Poco has not officially announced the protective layer of the screen, it is probably an IPS LCD panel. Maximum brightness reaches up to 850 nits in high-brightness mode and is usually around 700 nits.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS based on Android 15, with promises of two major OS upgrades and up to four years of security updates.

The phone has a 7,000mAh battery based on Silicon-Carbon technology to achieve a high-density pack in a relatively thin and light body. The Poco M7 Plus is 217 grams heavy and 8.4mm thick. Fast charging and reverse charging features come in the form of 33W and 18W, respectively.

A 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera handle photography duties, both of which can record 1080p video at 30fps.

The phone is made of plastic with three colors available: Chrome Silver, Aqua Blue, and Carbon Black. It has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, a single speaker, and a side fingerprint sensor. For connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.
