Watch | Trump Claims Again in UN Speech That He Ended 7 Wars, Including India-Pakistan Conflict

The tensions Trump mentioned were between Israel and Iran, India and Pakistan, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Thailand and Cambodia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Serbia and Kosovo.

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday once again made the claim at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) that he had ended seven long-standing wars including the one between India and Pakistan. He said, "In a period of just seven months, I have ended seven unendable wars."

The tensions Trump mentioned were between Israel and Iran, India and Pakistan, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Thailand and Cambodia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Serbia and Kosovo.

Addressing the 80th UNGA session, Trump said, "They said they were unendable, some were going for 31 years, one was 36 years. I ended 7 wars and in all cases they were raging with countless thousands of people being killed" adding that no other president or leader has "ever done anything close to that".

He then criticised the United Nations and said that it "did not even try to help" solve the wars. "It's not even coming close to living up to its potential... it's empty words, and empty words don't solve wars" Trump said.

Since May 10, after Trump's tweet that India and Pakistan had agreed to a "full and immediate" ceasefire after US-brokered negotiations, the President has consistently repeated the assertion in his addresses.

India has denied the assertion, maintaining the ceasefire was the outcome of direct talks between the Indian and Pakistani armies, without US intervention.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also made a statement in Parliament, making it clear that no foreign leader asked India to suspend Operation Sindoor, which was initiated following the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that left 26 dead.
