UP universities to adopt grading systems
The move is in consonance with NEP and aims at assessing learning goals. Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Monika Garg has asked universities, including those run privately, to implement the grading system. According to the system, a student scoring between 91 and 100 in any course/paper of any major, minor subject, co-curricular and vocational subjects will be awarded a grade point of 10 and grade letter of O (Outstanding).
NEET-UG Counselling 2021: MCC to now conduct stray vacancy round for untaken MBBS seats
The stray vacant round will be opening to fill up 325 MBBS seats. The details for the vacancy of the seats are available on the official website of MCC- mcc.nic.in. The chance to participate in the vacancy round will be given to the candidates who have yet not taken admissions in any India quota or state quota. Candidates who will be alloted with the seats have to report to their respective institutes and join the seats by showing their original documents.

The registration process has been reopened due to the demand of a large section that could not fill their applications because of the clash of dates of entrance examinations and their board examinations. However, now NTA has rescheduled the dates for JEE Mains and the students now wish to apply again for it.
IIT-Guwahati resumes physical classes after 2 years
IIT-G officials said that the institute has revoked the Covid restrictions that were earlier imposed as there are no coronavirus cases in the campus, resuming the physical classes for the students. However, all necessary precautions prescribed by the government are in place to be followed. IIT-G was established in 1994 and it completed 25 years of existence in 2019.

The entrance examination will be held on June 24, 2022, this year. The application form filing started on April 6 and will end soon on April 26 till 6:00 PM. The applications for the same can be withdrawn from May 4 2022 to May 10 at 6:00 PM. All the candidates applying must ensure that they fulfill the required age limit for the exam. They must have a minimum attained age of 21 years and should not exceed 30 years as of August 1, 2022.
DU all set to resume offline exams
The students will be given an extrapolation time of 30 minutes to appear in the examination along with the additional choice in questions to ease the stress level of students resuming the physical mode after two years. This provision is a one-time measure just to get them back to their traditional mode of learning.

CBSE may restore pre-pandemic format for board exams
Following instructions from the ministry, CBSE may restore the pre-pandemic format of board exams from next year. Once the CBSE restores the old pattern of board exams, neither two phases nor flexible practical pattern will be available for the students.

St. Stephens Admissions 2022: Admission weightage on 85% CUET scores and 15% interview
There are six minority colleges at Delhi University. St. Stephens is one of the minority colleges of DU where 50% of seats are reserved for the minority candidates. Stephens released a notice on its official website to convey that the admission to their college will be based on 85% CUET score and 15% on the interview for all applicants of all categories and not just for unreserved/minority candidates.
