Chinese Galwan casualties far higher than officially claimed: Australian media

The Chinese suffered much higher casualties in the June 2020 Galwan Valley clash than earlier reported. Several of the Chinese soldiers drowned while crossing the fast-flowing Galwan rover, as per an investigative report by Australia’s The Klaxon. Fifth submarine of Indian Navy's Project 75 begins sea trials

The submarine, launched in November 2020 from the Kanhoji Angre Wet Basin of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), would be named Vagir, after commissioning. Despite the Covid pandemic, MDL has 'delivered' two submarines of the Project 75 in 2021 and the commencement of sea trials of the fifth submarine is a significant milestone. The submarine will now undergo intense trials of all its systems at sea, including propulsion systems, weapons and sensors.

Gao, who represents the Arunachal East constituency, said that the PLA had tortured Miram, and kept him blindfolded, tied his hands, gave electric shocks, adding the teenager was also subjected to other inhuman treatments.
