Delhi to get 50 e-buses in Feb, 300 by April: Kailash Gahlot
"The first prototype of the electric bus has already reached Delhi and will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday (January 17). Fifty e-buses will be inducted into DTC's fleet by the second week of February and the target to admit 300 e-buses is likely to be achieved till April," Gahlot said while inaugurating 100 new AC CNG buses in the presence of the Chief Minister at Rajghat on Friday afternoon.

Dense fog in Delhi, visibility at Palam reduced to 50m
Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature dipped to 17 degrees. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), visibility dropped to 50 meters at Palam from 4.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. The visibility remained between 50 and 100 meters at Safdarjung from 7 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.

Wet spell over east, central India, dense fog over north: IMD
A Western Disturbance (WD) would affect northwest Himalayas on January 16 and 17 and another WD would affect northwest India from January 18 to 20. There is a feeble Western Disturbance, seen as a trough in upper tropospheric levels, and there is another trough that runs from north interior Karnataka to north interior Odisha in lower tropospheric levels. Under the influence of above systems, isolated light rainfall/snowfall is very likely over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad on Friday.

Delhi adds 28,867 new Covid cases, highest single day rise ever

The infection rate was 29.55 per cent on May 3, as per the health department. The active Covid cases have climbed to 94,160, highest since May 1.
