India adds over 8K fresh Covid cases, 465 deaths in 24 hrs

These new cases are 21 per cent lower than Friday's spike of 10,549 fresh cases. In the meantime, 465 new fatalities were also recorded, taking the total Covid deaths in India to 4,67,933. With 10,967 recoveries, the total recoveries have surged up to 3,39,88,797. The recovery rate is currently at 98.34 per cent, the highest since March 2020, whereas the active cases stand at 1,07,019 after falling by 3,114 cases since Friday.
Assam, Mizoram CMs discuss modalities to resolve border row

A top Assam government official in Guwahati said that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his Mizoram counterpart Zoramthanga, after the discussion in presence of Shah, decided that both the states would constitute committees for resolving the border disputes through discussions. According to the official, the meeting also decided that the two Chief Ministers would also hold talks from time to time to take forward the efforts to a logical conclusion and a lasting solution.
Illegal firm run by Chinese nationals busted in Bengaluru, 2 held

The investigation revealed that these Chinese nationals opened bank accounts in the name of Indian nationals, carried out fraudulent transactions and transferred crores of rupees from these accounts to China. The arrested persons have been identified as Kamaraj More (25), an HR executive, and Darshan Chouhan (21), a team lead. A hunt is on to nab the Chinese nationals.
Law on MSP 'unlikely', says Haryana CM

Talking to the media after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday, the Haryana Chief Minister, citing the opinion of experts, said that it is "not possible to make a law on MSP as doing so will put pressure on the government to buy all the crops, which is not possible". The remark is being considered as a "major statement" as despite the government's announcement of repealing the three agricultural laws.
