India controls world cricket now, says Imran Khan

In an interview to Middle East Eye, Imran said, "Money is a big player now. For the players, as well as for the cricket boards. The money lies in India, so basically, India controls world cricket now. I mean, they do, whatever they say goes. No one would dare do that to India because they know that the sums involved, India can sort of produce much more money."
Suspected Pak terrorist arrested in Delhi

According to the official, the suspected Pakistani national, who had obtained fake Indian identity cards through forged documents, has been identified as Mohd Ashraf alias Ali, a resident of Punjab province in Pakistan. The arrested accused was living as an Indian national by the name of Ali Ahmed Noori, a resident of Shastri Nagar in the national capital. "At the time of his arrest, the police recovered an AK 47 rifle along with several other arms and ammunition," Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, Pramod Kushwaha said.

US Navy Chief in India to strengthen military cooperation

No power crisis in Delhi; Centre directs NTPC, DVC to use quota under PPAs

This will ensure that distribution companies of Delhi will get as much as power as requisitioned by them as per their demand. The central power utilities, NTPC and DVC have been directed to offer the normative declared capacity (DC) to the Delhi DISCOMS as per their allocations made to them under respective PPAs, from their coal based power stations.
Delhi HC junks plea against Asthana's appointment as Delhi Police chief

Asthana had told the Delhi High Court that the PIL challenging his appointment is either personal vendetta or a proxy war under the cloak of public interest litigation. He contended that there is a sustained social media campaign against him and the plea before the high court was an abuse of process of law. An intervention application filed by NGO 'Centre for Public Interest Litigation' through advocate Prashant Bhushan also challenged Asthana's appointment as the Delhi Police chief.
NIA conducts raids at 16 locations in Kashmir, Delhi-NCR

NIA sources said these were related to the Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of various terror outfits, including The Resistance Front (TRF). Major crackdown is underway currently, according to the sources. Nearly 90 youths have been detained across Kashmir in the past 2-3 days. The crackdown on anti-India elements by the security forces took place just after the terror attacks on minorities last week.
Bengaluru airport flooded, travellers face harrowing time

The airport premises turned into a 'town bus stand', as local people who ferried international travellers to the terminal were found to be announcing the destination 'airport terminal' on top of their voices. As knee-deep water stood at the terminal concourse of the airport due to heavy rains, passengers had a tough time as taxis were stranded for hours and a few of them could not even start.
Pakistan lags India in Digital Quality of Life

The DQL survey was conducted by cyber security company Surfshark which evaluates countries based on a set of five fundamental digital wellbeing pillars — internet affordability, internet quality, electronic infrastructure, electronic security and electronic government. The study shows that Pakistan is lagging behind India and Iran in DQL but performing better than Bangladesh.
Raj govt may withdraw controversial Child Marriage Registration Bill

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday indicated to withdraw the Bill in the virtual programme held on the International Girl Child Day. Speaking on the occasion, he said, "A controversy has arisen in Rajasthan that child marriages are being registered after the Marriage Registration Bill was passed in the Legislative Assembly. There is no prestige issue as far as the Bill is concerned and we are getting it checked by the legal department.
