Centre looks at letting power plants to use 10% imported coal blend
Blending local coal with imported ones has been practiced in the past to get better caloric value and improve the efficiency of power plants. The country's largest power producer NTPC has also used blended coal at its power plants to offset lower heat generated by high ash content of local coal.
Mundra port drug seizure: NIA searches multiple locations in Delhi
Officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) had recently seized a huge haul of 2,998 kg of heroin, estimated to be valued at about Rs 21,000 crore, from the Mundra port in Gujarat. The heroin was found concealed in the import consignment of 'Semi-processed talc stones' originating from Afghanistan, which had arrived from the Bandar Abbas Port, Iran.

"After review of the current status of scheduled domestic operations vis-a-vis passenger demand for air travel in terms of the purpose specified in the initial order it has been decided to restore the scheduled domestic operations with effect from 18.10.2021 (October 18, 2021) without any capacity restriction," the Ministry said in the order issued on Tuesday.

The Subject Expert Committee on Covid-19 gave the approval for the emergency use in the children. The expert panel said in a statement, "After detailed deliberation, the committee recommended for grant of market authorisation of the vaccine for the age group of 2 to 18 years for restricted use in emergency situation."
