200 Chinese troops detained after entering Indian territory, let off following military talks

It happened during a routine patrol close to the LAC near Yangtse in Tawang Sector. The Indian troops intercepted around 200 PLA soldiers, who had crossed over into the Indian side from Tibet and attempted to damage unoccupied bunkers. This led to a face-off which was amicably resolved by the commanders at the local level. They met to disengage and de-escalate the situation.

Lakhimpur Kheri case: Minister's son summoned for questioning

Inspector-General of Police Laxmi Singh said two persons are already being questioned in the case. A notice under CrPC 160 has been pasted at the Lakhimpur Kheri residence of Ashish Mishra and he has been asked to present himself at the crime branch office of the reserve police lines at 10.a.m. on Friday. Ashish Mishra is the main accused in the violence that erupted in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday and left eight dead.
