Amid opposition walkout, Rajya Sabha passes 3 bills on Monday

The Rajya Sabha returned The Taxation Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021 during which the opposition staged walkout from the house. The house also passed Tribunals Reforms Bill, 2021 for which the opposition moved a resolution to send it to the select committee but it was defeated as the government managed numbers in the house.

Indian naval ships in Brunei to enhance ties in SE Asia

BJP leader, wife shot dead by terrorists in J&K's Anantnag

According to sources, terrorists barged inside the house of Ghulam Rasool Dar, who was also a 'Sarpanch' (Village Head), and fired indiscriminately critically injuring him and his wife. They were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead. Police personnel have reached the spot. The area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched to nab the terrorists.

Punjab Police foil major terror attack ahead of Independence Day

State Director General of Police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta told the media here that as per the past cross-border incidents the explosives could have been delivered via a drone from Pakistan. Five hand-grenades and 100 cartridges were found in a bag that contained the tiffin box in Daleke village on Saturday evening. "Subsequently the NSG (National Security Guard) was alerted and it reached the spot and started investigation," he said.
