Aircraft Carrier Vikrant successfully completes maiden sea trial

"Trials progressed as planned and system parameters proved satisfactory," the Indian Navy said. The carrier would continue to undergo series of sea trials to prove all equipment and systems prior to handing over of the vessel to the Indian Navy. Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) 'Vikrant' designed by Indian Navy's Directorate of Naval Design (DND) is being built at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL).

Yediyurappa given cabinet rank status by CM Bommai

The order was issued by the Under Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) on Saturday. The order from the Protocol wing of the DPAR mentioned that as long as the current Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai holds the post, Yediyurappa will continue to have all facilities of a cabinet rank minister.
Red Fort gears up to host I-Day celebrations
