Delhi govt issues new guidelines for spa, massage centres
The Delhi government's new guidelines strictly prohibit any kind of cross-gender massage in the premises in view to protection of children from sexual offences, preventing sexual harassment, and trafficking among others. the spa and massage centres will be allowed to employ only people aged above 18 having a certificate in physiotherapy, acupressure or occupational therapy.
Will continue to work as MP: Babul Supriyo after meeting Nadda
Former Union minister Babul Supriyo after a meeting with the BJP chief J.P. Nadda said that though he has quite politics, but will continue to work as an MP. It was the second meeting between Nadda and Supriyo in the last 48 hours after the BJP MP from Asansol in West Bengal announced about quitting politics in a Facebook post on Saturday.
No study on climate change's role in increasing cloudbursts: Govt
"The science of the attribution of such extreme events to climate change is far more complex and currently an evolving subject and being closely studied by Ministry of Earth Sciences, through the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and the India Meteorological Department," Minister of State for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Ashwini Kumar Choubey told Rajya Sabha member A. MHA restricts Delhi govt's proposal to increase MLAs' salary, other wages
Proposal for an increase in salary and allowances of Delhi MLAs was pending with the MHA for the last 5 years. Sources privy with the development said that the MHA has "restricted the proposal." The six-member committee of AAP MLAs, which was formed by the Delhi Assembly to take up the issue of the proposed hike in salary of ministers and legislators with the Centre, had sent the proposal last time in March this year.

The two states have also decided to withdraw most cases filed against each other, including those against Sarma, Mizoram Rajya Sabha member K. Vanlalvena and senior officials of two states. Lok Sabha passes General Insurance Business Amendment Bill amid ruckus
Soon after the House resumed its session at 3.30 p.m., Deputy Speaker Rama Devi asked Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to introduce the proposed amendments to the Bill. The amendments were introduced by Sitharaman after negating the amendments moved by RSP MP N.K. Premachandran. The Bill was passed by the House amid ruckus, following which the Deputy Speaker adjourned the proceedings for the day.
India, China agree to resolve remaining border dispute
On July 31, India and China military delegates deliberated for almost nine hours to resolve border crisis at Moldo in the Ladakh region. The Indian Army stated that this round of meeting was held following the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of India and People's Republic of China on July 14 in Dushanbe and the 22nd meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) held on June 25.
New IT rules: Koo removes 2,385 accounts in July
The Micro-blogging platform Koo has removed a total of 2,385 accounts in accordance with the new IT rules. In its social media compliance report for July, the platform said that of the 3,431 Koos reported by the community, 14.5 per cent (498) were removed, while other action was taken against the rest -- 2,933. Koo was the first Indian social media platform to publicly publish its compliance report following the new IT guidelines.
Maha money extortion case: Anil Deshmukh skips ED summons again
Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, probed in an alleged money extortion case, once again skipped the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons. This is for the third time Deshmukh has skipped ED summons in connection with the case. The official said the financial probe agency had sent fresh summons to Deshmukh and his son Hrishikesh Deshmukh on Friday asking them to join the probe with the agency on Monday.
