With 66 new Covid cases, Delhi set to open completely from Monday
With continued improvement in Covid situation in the national capital, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has permitted multiplexes and spas to run from July 26. After facing complete lockdown restrictions for over one and a half months due to the lethal second wave of the Covid pandemic, Delhi started unlocking phase-wise from June 7, the day on which it reported 231 new Covid cases and 36 deaths.
Various parts of India likely to get heavy rainfall on Monday
It has also predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, central Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe for Monday. Thunderstorm, accompanied by lightning, is very likely at isolated places over Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and many others.

Nadda also described the Congress under Rahul Gandhi (without directly naming the Congress leader) as a "rudderless boat" under a sailor who does not know which way the wind is blowing. "It is baseless. It is issueless and as I have said, the opposition led by the Congress has got no issue to raise that is related to the people."
Militant killed in Kashmir gunfight had exfiltrated via Wagah border: Police
"A resident of Bandipora, Sariq Baba had exfiltrated via Wagah border in 2018 and had infiltrated recently through the LoC", Vijay Kumar, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) told reporters. Kumar said Sariq was affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit. The other two militants killed in the gunfight at the Sumlar-Aragam area in Bandipora district on Saturday were foreigners.

Delhi Metro, DTC buses to operate at 100% capacity
Till now, operations were allowed with 50 per cent capacity in view of the Covid pandemic. However, with the fall in the number of cases, the restrictions have been eased. Officials said on Saturday that even as Delhi Metro has been allowed to run at 100 per cent capacity, no standing passenger will be allowed. It has also been decided to open cinemas, theatres and multiplexes in the national capital with 50 per cent capacity.
Terrorist killed in encounter in J&K's Kulgam
Earlier, the firefight between terrorists and security forces took place after a joint team of the police and the army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about presence of terrorists. As the security forces zeroed in on the spot where terrorists were hiding they came under a heavy volume of fire that triggered the encounter.
