WhatsApp may let you keep disappearing messages even after they are dead

According to WABetaInfo report, the disappearing messages can be viewed within chat info in a new section called 'Kept messages', and all people in the conversation can open this section. When disappearing messages are turned on in a certain chat, they cannot be starred, but they can only be kept.

The app shows a shortcut when users long-press its icon on your home screen. The new update is part of Google's efforts to make the app much easier to navigate than it was during its early days.

Twitter reaches 238 mn users globally amid legal battle with Musk

The micro-blogging platform, locked in a battle with the Tesla CEO over the presence of bots/spam accounts on its platform, said it now has 237.8 million monetisable daily active usage (mDAU), up 16.6 per cent compared to Q2 of the prior year. "The increase was driven by ongoing product improvements and global conversation around current events," the company said late on Friday. Average US mDAU was 41.5 million for Q2, up 14.7 per cent compared to Q2 of the prior year.
SpaceX sends 46 Starlink satellites into space

The two-stage Falcon 9 rocket, which induced a scrub at T-46 seconds on Thursday, lifted off successfully from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on Friday, reports Space.com. "Deployment of 46 Starlink satellites confirmed -- completing SpaceX's 32nd mission of 2022!a the agency tweeted. Liftoff took place at 1.40 p.m. amid severely foggy conditions on the West Coast. The launch allowed SpaceX to surpass its 31 record launches of 2021 with a 32nd record launch in 2022, and still counting.

During the course of the hearing, senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, on behalf of Meta, pointed out that the two platforms are different entities, though Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014. "The ownership is common but roads are different, policies are different. As far as Facebook is concerned, the first notice to Whatsapp to make enquiry is the actual notice," he argued.
