Apple settles lawsuit with Chicago city over 'Netflix tax'
Chicago introduced 'Netflix tax' in 2015, extending the city's tax on tickets for recreational activities and concerts to digital entertainment platforms. The tax was meant to make up for the lost revenue from traditional brick-and-mortar stores. It's widely regarded as the first tax specifically targeting the likes of Disney+, Spotify and Amazon Prime Video, reports Hollywood Reporter.
Apple's rugged Watch Pro model to sport upgraded titanium design
The new high-end model could end up being "big enough that it might only appeal to a subset of customers," reports Mark Gurman in his Power On' newsletter for Bloomberg. The screen of the Watch Pro' model will be 7 per cent bigger than the current Apple Watch Series 7 models, with a "a fresh look". This will the first time the company has introduced a new Apple Watch design since 2018. That design will reportedly be "an evolution of the current rectangular shape, and not circular."

YouTube Music test feature to offer content based on listening behaviour
As per initial reports, YouTube Music will change the playback queue if users skip to a new track while still halfway through the current song. It is unclear if this feature is enabled by default, reports 9To5Google. These live updates are an alternative to a user becoming dissatisfied with a current radio and selecting an entirely different song to generate another queue, the report said.

Apple diversifies suppliers ahead of iPhone 14 launch
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, components from SG Micro have passed quality certification for the high-end iPhone 14 models, indicating that the Chinese company has been greenlighted to supply components for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. SG Micro specialises in integrated circuits, and Apple will use its power management integrated circuitry in the upcoming iPhones, reports MacRumors.
