Hindu teacher shot dead by terrorists in Kashmir
The teacher was identified as Rajni, wife of Raj Kumar of Samba district in Jammu. According to the details, the terrorists fired at the school teacher, injuring her critically. She was moved to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The J&K Police tweeted: "Injured lady teacher, a Hindu and resident of Samba (Jammu division) succumbed to her injuries.
India reports 2,338 Covid cases, 19 deaths
In the same period, the country reported 19 deaths, taking the nationwide death toll to 5,24,630. Meanwhile, the active caseload of the country has slightly risen to 17,883 cases, accounting for 0.04 per cent of the country's total positive cases. The recovery of 2,134 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,26,15,574. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.
2 terrorists killed in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Awantipora

The encounter that started on Monday based on an intelligence input ended with the killing of two terrorists on Tuesday. Both are local terrorists identified as Shahid Rather of Tral and Umar Yousuf of Shopian.
ED to seek custodial remand of Satyendar Jain in PMLA case
Jain will be presented at the Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday. The ED is likely to seek his custodial remand to confront him with some documents and statements. The Aap Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was placed under arrest by the ED on Monday evening. The ED had attached properties worth Rs 4.81 crore belonging to Jain's relatives in April this year.
Cruise ship raids case: Sameer Wankhede transferred to Chennai
Wankhede, the former head of the Mumbai zone of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has been transferred from Directorate of Revenue Intelligence to DG TS, Chennai. Other NCB officials who have been transferred are P. Ram Mohan and T. Rajashree. The SIT formed in the case might be filing a report with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to fix responsibility for conducting shoddy probe in the matter, sources in the NCB said.
