Delhi-NCR in the grip of heat wave, no respite soon

Delhi NCR is in the grip of a heat wave with the majority of the stations recording maximum temperatures ranging from 39 to 41.5 degrees Celsius while Safdarjung - considered the base station for Delhi - recorded 39.2 degrees Celsius, a departure of plus 7 from the normal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heat wave conditions for Wednesday and Thursday as maximum temperature at Safdarjung is likely to be hovering at 40 degrees Celsius.
War in Ukraine impacting all countries like pandemic did: Sitharaman

Indian, Israeli Defence Ministers discuss terror threats

Indian, Uzbek armies conduct counter-terrorism exercise

India logs 1,270 new Covid cases, 35 deaths in 24 hrs

India reported 1,259 fresh Covid cases and 35 deaths in a span of 24 hours, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday. With the new deaths, the total number has reached 5,21,070 in the country. Following the continuous downward trend, India's active caseload has further declined to 15,378, constituting 0.04 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
