Chargesheet against 6 Khalistani terrorists including Pak national in bomb blast case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against six accused alleged Khalistani terrorists including one Pakistani in connection with Punjab's Jalalabad bomb blast case before the NIA Special Court in SAS Nagar, Punjab. The NIA chargesheeted Sukhwinder Singh, Parveen Singh, Gurpreet Singh alias Gora, Ranjit Singh, Pakistani national Habib Khan and Lakhbir Singh Rode, (a Pakistan based designated terrorist).
Denouncement of bigotry should apply to all religions: India

While condemning Islamaphobia, India said on Tuesday that denouncement of bigotry at the UN should apply to all religions, a stance also adopted by France and the European Union. Speaking at the UN General Assembly after it adopted a resolution proclaiming the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, India's Permanent Representative to UN, T.S. Tiruurti, said, "This resolution may well end up downplaying the seriousness of phobias against all other religions."

The Covid-19 vaccination for all beneficiaries in the 12-14 age group will begin from Wednesday, National Vaccination Day, at all government Covid vaccination centres. The vaccine to be administered would be Corbevax, manufactured by Biological E. Limited, Hyderabad, said Rajesh Bhushan, Union Health Secretary, in a virtual meeting with all states and UTs on Tuesday.

The verdict came after a long conflicting row over the hijab. The issue led to violence in some places and the state was forced to shut the educational institutions. Some Muslim women protesters had filed petitioned to High Court arguing that the right to wear hijab/headscarves is guaranteed to them by the constitution.
High-level probe ordered on missile misfire incident: Rajnath Singh

"The Defence Ministry has taken the issue seriously and the exact reasons behind it would be known once the high-level probe team submits its report," Singh said. Referring to the incident, he said that during routine maintenance and inspection, a missile was accidentally released at around 7 p.m. It was later learnt that the missile had landed inside the territory of Pakistan. While this incident is regretted, we are relieved that nobody was hurt in the accident," Singh further said.
