Terrorist killed in encounter at Pulwama in J&K
One terrorist was killed in an encounter between terrorists and security forces at Chewaklan area in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, officials said on Saturday. "One terrorist killed. Operation going on," police said. The firefight between terrorists and security forces took place after a joint team of the police and the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about presence of terrorists.

India, Canada to re-launch CEPA negotiations
India and Canada have agreed to formally re-launch the negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Both the countries might also consider entering into an 'Early Progress Trade Agreement'. The development comes after India and Canada held the fifth Ministerial Dialogue on Trade & Investment (MDTI) here on Friday.
Northern Army commander reviews security scenario in Kashmir
Northern Army commander, Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, who is on a three day visit to Kashmir Valley from March 10, visited Rashtriya Rifles formations in hinterland to review the overall security scenario, the army said on Friday. Defence Ministry identifies 18 platforms for industry-led development
India's Defence Ministry on Friday identified 18 major platforms, including drones, for industry-led design and development. Under the Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020, 'Make' Category aims to achieve self-reliance by involving greater participation of Indian industry. Projects involving design and development of equipment, systems, major platforms or upgrades thereof by the industry can be taken up under this category.
Missile from India entered Pak airspace accidentally, inquiry launched: Defence Ministry
The ministry in a statement said: "On March 9, 2022, in the course of a routine maintenance, a technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile." The Indian government has taken a serious view and "ordered a high-level court of inquiry". Earlier in the day, the Pakistan foreign office summoned India's charge d'affaires and lodged a protest over what it termed as unprovoked violation of its airspace.
2 terrorists killed, 3 army soldiers injured in J&K's Pulwama
Two terrorists were killed and three Indian Army soldiers were injured during an encounter between the militants and security forces at Naina Batpora area in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, the police said on Thursday.
