UP records 54.53% voting in fifth phase
The polling was held in 61 Assembly constituencies spread in 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The Election Commission said that 54.53 per cent voter turnout figure was an approximate trend as data from some polling stations takes time to reach. The highest voter turnout of 59.64 per cent was recorded in Chitrakoot district followed by Ayodhya 58.01 per cent and Shrawasti 57.24 per cent.

Air India flight carrying 240 students from Ukraine lands in Delhi
The flight landed at Terminal number 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport. As of now the students are inside and a few formalities are being done. More flights under 'Operation Ganga' to evacuate stranded Indian nationals in Ukraine
The evacuation operation named as 'Operations Ganga' is being extensively activated from Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. Camps have been set up in these countries at the borders with Ukraine. Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar thanked his Hungarian counterpart for extending full support for 'Operation Ganga'.
No penalty for people without masks riding private vehicles
The fine for not wearing masks in public places and not abiding by social distancing norms has also been reduced from Rs 2,000 to Rs 500. However, the relaxation from penalty will not be applied to people travelling together in cabs and taxis which are public transport vehicles.
