Delhi HC to hear plea related to PM CARES Fund on Nov 18
The petition is filed by Samyak Gangwal, who sought to declare the PM CARES Fund a "State" under the Constitution and asked it to refrain from using Prime Minister of India or Prime Minister including its abbreviations in its name, and on its website. The plea further sought that Fund to refrain from using State Emblem of India on its website, Trust Deed, and other official /unofficial communications and advertisements.

Fire in parts of forest in J&K's Poonch as anti-terror ops enter 19th day
Police sources said that heavy firing, including the use of rocket launchers by the army against the terrorists hiding inside the Bhatta Durrian forests, triggered the fire. Reports said smoke was billowing at some places of the forest which are believed to be the areas where the terrorists are hiding. Police remove barricades at Ghazipur border, farm protest to continue
"It was the police which had put the barricades after the January 26 incident. Delhi Police is correcting its mistake after farmers gave an affidavit in the Supreme Court that they have not blocked the roads. Farmers in large numbers are present at Ghazipur border." The BKU appealed to farmers to reach the site as soon as possible and strengthen the agitation. They said there is a conspiracy against the stir and they will fight it.
India registers 14,313 new Covid cases, 549 deaths
The new fatalities increased the death toll to 4,57,740. The recovery of 13,543 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 3,36,41,175. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.19 per cent. As many as 1,61,555 active cases at present constitute 0.47 per cent of the country's total positive cases, which is the lowest since March 2020.
