Let's wait for WHO on Covaxin, SC on plea for re-vaccination by Covishield
A bench headed by Justice D.Y. Chandrachud observed that it has been reported that Bharat Biotech, manufacturer of Covaxin, has submitted the latest data to the WHO. The bench added that the decision is expected to come and told the petitioner's counsel to wait for some time, as there will not be any difficulty when the WHO recognises Covaxin.
JNU shuts down webinar on Kashmir over terminology, lack of permission
Vice Chancellor M. Jagadesh Kumar said: "As soon as it came to our notice that an online webinar titled 'Gender Resistance and Fresh Challenges in Post-2019 Kashmir' was being organised by the Centre for Women's Studies, at 8.30 p.m. on Friday, we immediately instructed the faculty members to stop the event."
No total ban on firecrackers, only those having banned substances: SC
A bench of Justices M.R. Shah and A.S. Bopanna said: "It is made clear that there is no total ban on use of firecrackers. Only those firecrackers are banned, as directed hereinabove, which are found to be injurious to health and affecting the health of the citizens, more particularly the senior citizens and the children."
Delhi logs 37 Covid cases, no death in seven days
The city's death toll stands at 25,091, as it recorded four deaths due to the infection in this month so far. The death rate stands at 1.74 per cent. The Covid infection rate in the national capital stands at 0.06 per cent, and the active cases tally at 334. With 48 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries are 14,14,363 so far, the health bulletin said.

Covid 19 update : India reports 14,348 new cases, 805 deaths
India's recovery rate stands at 98.19 per cent with 13,198 recovered patients in the same period of time. The cumulative tally of recovered patients increased to 3,36,27,632. A total of 805 new fatalities were reported, increasing the death toll to 4,57,191 in the country in the last 24 hours. The active case count is at 1,61,334 which constitutes 0.47 per cent of the country's total positive cases. This is the lowest since March 2020.
India extends ban on international commercial flights till Nov 30
In the notification, the Directorate General of Central Aviation (DGCA), however, said: "This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the DGCA." It also said that scheduled international flights might be allowed on selected routes on a case to case basis. The Central government had banned the operation of international flights on March 23 last year to contain and control the spread of Covid-19.
