P.V. Narasimha Rao father of economic reforms in India: CJI
Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana described former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao as the father of economic reforms in the country, noting that the reforms started during the Congress leader's rule. "You know the father of the economic reforms in the country is none other than P.V. Narasimha Rao, 'Telangana Bidda' (son of Telangana). Under his leadership, in India for the first time, economic reforms started," he said.
Delhi reports 57 fresh Covid cases, zero deaths
According to bulletin, the new cases took Delhi's overall Covid tally to 14,37,274, while the death toll remained static at 25,079. A total of 46 Covid patients were discharged after recovery in the last 24 hours, taking the national capital's total number of recoveries to 14,11,736, with a recovery rate of 98.22 per cent. Delhi presently has 459 active cases, of which 135 are under home isolation, the bulletin said.

Zydus Cadila's 3-dose vaccine gets emergency use approval in India
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation's (CDSO) Subject Expert Committee (SEC) granted the EUA. The Science and Technology Ministry statement said: "Zydus Cadila has received approval for Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) for ZyCoV-D today." ZyCoV-D is a first of its kind DNA vaccine that produces the spike protein of the SARS-CoV-2 to elicit an immune response.
