If it is not removed then the purpose of the bill will be defeated as the states should get the power to increase the reservation. The government responded after Justice Rekha Palli requested a response to an affidavit submitted by Twitter verifying their appointments. The top court is considering a petition alleging that the microblogging service violated IT Rules. Additional solicitor general Chetan Sharma, appearing on behalf of the Central government, requested time on Tuesday to file an affidavit on the subject.

DCGI okays study on mixing Covaxin & Covishield, trial in Vellore

The DCGI has said that the study and its clinical trials will be conducted by Christian Medical College in Vellore. The study aims to find out whether a person can be given two different vaccine shots -- one each of Covishield and Covaxin -- to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease, instead of the existing practice of administering twin shots of the same vaccine.
UP under Yogi Adityanath attaches 'gangster property' worth Rs 1,848 cr

As many as 139 criminals were killed in police-criminal gunfight between March 20, 2017, to June 20, 2021. Under provisions of the Gangster Act, property procured from crime proceeds can be attached by the police. ADG, law and order, Prashant Kumar told reporters: "In July and August alone, action was taken against 248 members of Mukhtar Ansari gang, and property worth Rs 222 crore confiscated in different districts."
