Mamata meets Sonia; discusses political situation, Pegasus
Former Congress President and Sonia Gandhi's son, Rahul Gandhi, was also present during the meeting. The meeting was held at Sonia Gandhi's residence at 10 Janpath here. After the meeting, Banerjee said that she was invited for tea by the Congress chief and that Rahul Gandhi was also present there. "We discussed the current political situation, Pegasus and the Covid condition, besides discussing opposition unity," Banerjee said.
AAP, BJP set to lock horns over key issues in Delhi Assembly

Basavaraj Bommai rains sops in first cabinet meet
Bommai, after holding a cabinet meeting, announced that a scholarship scheme for children of agriculturists has been introduced in the state as per his vision. "It's going to help students from agrarian families to pursue higher education," he stated. Bommai himself chaired the meeting with the Chief Secretary and other top government officers as the full fledged cabinet is yet to be formed.
Rakesh Asthana takes charge as Delhi Police Commissioner
Asthana arrived at the Police Headquarter on Wednesday morning and took charge in the presence of several senior officials. He was accorded the ceremonial guard of honour upon his arrival. Asthana will be in-charge of the Delhi Police for a period of one year till July 31, 2022. His date of retirement was July 31, which has been extended by one year "as a special case in public interest".
