Ramana and Justice Surya Kant stating that civil liberties of citizens, politicians, belonging to Opposition parties, journalists, and court staff have been put under surveillance. He insisted that it is an issue, which is making waves in India and worldover and this issue requires an urgent hearing.

Manivannan said that given the critical prevailing situation, the people of Assam are advised not to travel to Mizoram as any threat to their personal safety cannot be accepted. Pan India rainfall deficit for season now at minus 2 per cent

Delhi-NCR and several parts of northwest India received good rains with central Delhi receiving 72 mm (Safdarjung) and Lodi Road (73.4 mm rainfall just between 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, IMD data showed. Ridge (49.3 mm) and Aya Nagar (34.8 mm) in south Delhi too received large quantum of rainfall, throwing Delhi's traffic out of gear during evening peak hours with large parts waterlogged.
India constructed 703 km of highways using plastic waste

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari told the Lok Sabha, in a written reply, that the ministry has issued guidelines for mandatory use of waste plastic in periodic renewal with hot mixes and in wearing coat of service road on national highways within 50km periphery of an urban area having population of more than 5 lakhs. Use of plastic waste in construction of road protects the environment.
Can't prosecute good Samaritan for providing oxygen amid 2nd wave: Delhi HC

A division bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Jasmeet Singh observed there is no need to initiate prosecution, especially against the backdrop where both Delhi government and the Centre failed to provide sufficient medical oxygen to the people. In this case, it said, then every gurudwara, temple or church, social organisation and every good Samaritan, providing medical oxygen amid second wave, should be booked.
SC reserves verdict on Amazon's pleas challenging Future-Reliancedeal

Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings LLC and FRL have been locked in a better legal battle over the deal. Amazon had argued that the Singapore's Emergency Arbitrator (EA) award, which restrained FRL from going ahead with the merger, was valid and enforceable. Amazon had moved the apex court challenging the Delhi High Court's division bench order which gave a green signal to the Reliance-FRL deal.
