Monsoon Session of Parliament likely from July 19

It is expected that the session might be held from July 19 to August 13 with all Covid-related protocols. The nearly month-long session is likely to have around 20 sittings, sources said. The Monsoon session of Parliament usually commences in the third week of July and concludes ahead of Independence day. Earlier, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi had said the government may hold the Monsoon session as per its normal schedule in July.

India seeks EU travel approval for Covishield: Report

The move comes amid reports that Covishield is not yet eligible for the digital green certificate, an EU-wide travel pass, set to launch on July 1. The certificate is currently for EU citizens only. Covishield is the Indian-made version of AstraZeneca's Vaxzevria jab, which has been authorised in the EU. Covishield is manufactured in India by Serum, the world's largest vaccine maker.
