Two drones again spotted over military area in Jammu
Police sources said two drones were spotted around 6 a.m. over the army installations in Miran Sahib and Kunjwani areas of Jammu city. "Alert troops fired at these drones after which they withdrew," sources said. On Tuesday, drones were spotted over military camps in the Kaluchak and Ratnuchak areas which were also fired upon.
UP: 2 arrested clerics found involved in another conversion case
The case involves the conversion of a Hindu girl in Shahjahanpur district. The 29-year-old girl had married a Muslim youth after converting to another religion. She is in Delhi with her husband and ATS sleuths are trying to reach her, sources said. Mohammed Umar Gautam, the founder of Islamic Dawah Centre (IDC), which has its office in Delhi's Batla House, in known to help people in converting to Islam.
At 817, India records least deaths since April 10
On April 10, India recorded 839 fatalities due to the coronavirus. Delhi sizzles at 43-degree C, no respite likely on Wed
Lodhi Road, Ridge and Pusa areas witnessed severe heat wave with the mercury soaring to 42.6-degree Celsius, 43.4-degree Celsius and 44.3-degree Celsius, respectively, seven notches above the average temperature. The highest temperature was recorded in the Najafgarh area at 44.4-degree Celsius, followed by Pitampura (44.3) and Mungeshpur (44.3).
Delhi Police file FIR against Twitter on NCPCR complaint on child porn
A Delhi Police spokesperson said that acting on a complaint received from NCPCR regarding availability of child sexual abuse and child pornographic material on Twitter, an FIR under relevant sections of IPC, IT Act and POCSO Act has been registered by Cyber Crime Unit, and investigation has been taken up. The NCPCR also sought a report from the police within three days.
