Delimitation Commission to visit J&K from July 6
During its visit to J&K, the commission will interact with political parties, public representatives and UT administration officials, including District Election Officers or Deputy Commissioners of 20 districts of the region. The three-member Commission comprising Chairperson, Justice (Retd) Ranjana Prakash Desai, ex-officio members Sushil Chandra and K.K Sharma (State Election Commissioner, J&K) will visit the UT.
ED attaches properties worth Rs 4.1 Cr in Bihar's Srijan scam case
An ED official said that the agency has attached 12 flats worth Rs 3.09 crore situated in Bhagalpur, Patna and Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, five plots or houses worth Rs 87 lakh at Bhagalpur, Deoghar and Sitamarhi, one Mahindra Scorpio car worth Rs 11.87 lakh and balances in bank accounts worth Rs 1.2 lakh. The ED had registered a case of money laundering on the basis of FIRs registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
J&K govt ends 149-year-old 'Darbar Move' practice
Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha had said on June 20 that since the administration had completed transition to e-office, there was no need to continue the practice of the biennial 'Darbar Move' of the government offices. SC asks Ramdev for his original video, statement on allopathy
Ramdev has filed a plea in the top court seeking a direction to club all the FIRs against him in connection with his statement against allopathy. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, representing Ramdev, argued before a bench headed by Chief Justice N.V.
