US Navy, IAF to carry out joint drill in Indian Ocean Region

As a strategic outreach exercise with the defence forces of friendly foreign countries in the Indian Ocean Region, the Indian Air Force will participate in operational engagements with the US Navy in an exercise to be carried out with the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group (CSG) on June 23 and 24. The Reagan Carrier Strike Group is currently deployed in the Indian Ocean Region.
Delhi reports 134 new Covid cases, 8 deaths

Cases rose a day after Delhi saw its tally dip below 100 to 89 on Monday, the lowest in over 400 days, while the test positivity rate was reported at 0.16 per cent, which was lowest ever since the pandemic broke out in March last year. With eight more deaths reported on Tuesday, the total Covid toll in the national capital rose to 24,933.

Yogi orders NSA against accused in conversion racket

Two persons had been arrested from Delhi on Monday for forcibly converting over 1,000 people to Islam, police said. The Chief Minister has ordered stringent action and asked the agencies to further probe the racket and dig deeper to arrest all those who are involved. The state government has also ordered the authorities to seize the properties of the accused.
India logs 42K Covid cases 1,167 deaths in 24 hours

India recorded 42,640 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest since March 23, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Tuesday. As it continued with a declining trend of coronavirus infection, the country reported 1,167 deaths. This is the fifth consecutive day in the last two months when the toll has been below the 2,000-mark.
India to get a share of latest US vaccine allocations through COVAX

Two held for forcing over 1,000 conversions in UP

The two accused, Umar Gautam and Jahangir, have allegedly forced around 1000 non-Muslims to convert to Islam. One of the accused revealed that he is a resident of Batala house in Jamia Nagar and he himself has converted his religion. UP ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said in a press conference here on Monday that there is a racket operating in the state, forcing people to convert to Islam.
Sun Pharma settles patent dispute with US Celgene Corporation
