In a statement, the DMRC made it clear that the monkey entered the train at Akshardham Metro station, and that its staff acted swiftly after getting information about it and the train was evacuated at the next station. "In this connection, DMRC would like to appeal and advise passengers to refrain from encouraging, feeding or indulging in any activity which may endanger them in such a situation."

India's Covid vax coverage crosses landmark of 28-cr
In a significant development, India's cumulative vaccination coverage has exceeded 28 crores on Sunday, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said on Monday. In its latest provisional report till 7 a.m. on Monday, the Ministry said a total of 28,00,36,898 vaccine doses have been administered through 38,24,408 sessions, however, 30,39,996 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
Fuel prices unchanged on Monday
The price pause came after the rates were raised on Sunday, the tenth increase so far in the month of June. With fuel prices remaining unchanged on Monday, petrol continues to cost Rs 97.22 per litre and diesel Rs 87.97 per litre in Delhi. Across the country as well the petrol and diesel rates remained static on Monday but the actual retail prices varied depending on the level of local levies in respective states.
India records 53,256 new Covid cases, lowest since March 24
This is the fourth consecutive day in the last two months when the death toll is below the 2,000-mark. It is also the 14th consecutive day when India has reported less than one lakh new coronavirus cases. On March 24, India had recorded 53,476 cases of Covid. The overall tally of Covid-19 cases in the country now stands at 2,99,35,221.
