Mid-air wedding party: DGCA grounds chartered flight's crew
The post-wedding joy ride by a marriage party onboard a SpiceJet aircraft, which took off from the Madurai International Airport on Sunday, has put the private airline in a spot with videos of the celebrations going viral on social media. According to SpiceJet, a travel agent in Madurai had chartered one of its Boeing 737 on Sunday for a group of passengers for a post-wedding joy ride.
21.80 crore vax doses provided to States & UTs so far
The Government of India has so far provided, both through the free of cost category and through direct state procurement category, more than 21.80 crore vaccine doses (21,80,51,890) to States/UTs. Of this, the total consumption, calculated based on average up to May 23, including wastages is 20,00,08,875 doses (as per data available at 8 a.m. Monday).

Delhi Police sends notice to Twitter over toolkit row
A Delhi Police source said that the Special Cell has sent notice to Twitter for describing a tweet as "manipulated media" in connection with the alleged toolkit controversy, that erupted last week. In the notice, police has asked Twitter to share all the information with it, on how it described the toolkit as manipulated media.
India's daily Covid recoveries out number new cases for 11th consecutive day
Ten states account for 72.23 per cent of the new recoveries with Kerala (37,316) on top followed by Karnataka (35,573), Maharashtra (29,177), Tamil Nadu (25,196), Andhra Pradesh (20,109), West Bengal (19,429)), Rajasthan (16,520), Uttar Pradesh (14,086), Odisha (11,627) and Haryana (9,480).

Delhi shuts 400 vax centres for 18-44 group as stock dries up
Since the first week of May, the Delhi government had set up vaccination centres for 18-44 age groups and around 400 centres were opened at government-run schools across the capital, but they are closed now. However, vaccination drives for 45 and above age groups which were already operational at hospitals and other healthcare centres though have been extended with the idea of 'walk-in vaccination' at government-run schools.
