Operation going on," police said. The firefight between terrorists and security forces at Anantnag took place after a joint team of the police and the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about presence of terrorists.

SC upholds Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Act, 2020
A bench headed by Justice A.M. Khanwilkar upheld the 2020 amendments made to the FCRA Act, 2010. The detailed judgment in the case will be uploaded on the top court website later in the day. The Centre had told the Supreme Court that there exists no fundamental right to receive unbridled foreign contributions without any regulation, while defending the amendments made in 2020 to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.

India reports 1,109 new Covid cases, 43 deaths

In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi shared that more than three crore houses have been built under the PM Awas Yojana. Modi also informed that all houses were equipped with basic necessities and have become the symbol of women's empowerment.
