In a series of tweets, Modi said, "Over the last few days, the Parliament has witnessed a healthy discussion on the situation in Ukraine and India's efforts to bring back our citizens through Operation Ganga. I am grateful to all MP colleagues who enriched this discussion with their views." "The rich level of debate and the constructive points illustrate how there is bipartisanship when it comes to matters of foreign policy. Such bipartisanship augurs well for India at the world stage," he said.

Delhi HC nixes MEA order on clearance for top judges' foreign visits
The order by a division bench of Justices Rajiv Shakdher and Jasmeet Singh came as it heard a plea challenging the MEA order issued on July 13, 2021, requiring that the judges should get a political clearance with respect to their visits abroad. As per petitioner Aman Vachar, the order is not only infringed judges' rights to privacy but also amounted to degrading and diminishing the high office that they hold.
'2 terrorists killed in J&K were trying to revive terror folds'
The terrorists, identified as Muzaffar Sofi of Ansar Gazwatul Hind (AGuH) and Umer Teli of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed in Tral area of Awantipora. Both were involved in many terror crimes, and active in Srinagar before shifting to Tral in Pulwama. The police said that based on a specific input generated by Ganderbal police regarding the presence of terrorists in Tral area, a raid was conducted by Awantipora police.
Family-led political parties never allowed youth to progress: Modi

India reports marginal rise in fresh Covid cases, 71 deaths
A total of 1,198 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic is now at 4,24,97,568. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent. Also in the same period, a total of 4,81,374 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 79.20 crore cumulative tests.
India becomes self-reliant in defence manufacturing, emerges as exporter
India has spent 2.1 per cent of GDP on defence in 2021-22. In the Union Budget of 2022-23, Rs 5.25 trillion is allocated towards defence and there is a 19 per cent increase in defence capital expenditure in FY 2021-22. India has 15 per cent share in global arms import. Developing economies find India an attractive destination given the quality of product and price range it offers.

The study 'Fulfilling the promise of One Nation One Ration Card' carried out by Dalberg, a leading social impact advisory group and supported by Omidyar Network India, an investment firm focused on social impact, said 48 per cent of all beneficiaries were fully aware of portability and 31 per cent were partially aware, while at least 20 per cent of households who wanted portability were unaware.
