India will not send spent nuclear fuel to Russia: Govt

Baalu, said the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Agreement of 2010 facilitates storage and reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel generated at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP).

Indian Army to don new combat uniform next year

For the first time in its history, the Army Day parade will witness uniform and weapons of different era, dating back to even pre-Independence times. The troops will also march sporting the new uniform during the Republic Day parade next year. The new uniform will be of digital pattern like the troopers of the US Army use. "The camouflage of the changed uniform is better than its previous one," said a senior Indian Army official.

The decision by the state government to suspend the 1988 batch IPS officer who was declared a ‘Proclaimed Offender’ by a Mumbai court in November follows a probe report submitted by Additional Chief Secretary Debashish Chakravarti. Among other things, the report had recommended action against Singh for defying the All India Civil Service Rules, sudden “unauthorised absence from duty” after which he became “untraceable” for nearly six months before he resurfaced a week ago in Mumbai.

Maoists suspend ideologue Kobad Gandhy for anti-party views

In a statement issued on Wednesday night, CPI(Maoist) said it took action against Gandhy following his his book 'The Fractured Freedom' in which he expressed his support to the government. His book is a prison memoirs which is against the ideologies of Carl Marx, Lenin and Mao. The book was published after he came out of jail in October 2019. First edition of the book was published in March this year.
One Omicron patient already recovered, another in quarantine, says Karnataka

According to Health Department sources, one of the infected people has already recovered, while the other is in under hotel quarantine in Bengaluru. The BBMP has tracked primary contacts of the two infected persons. While 12 primary contacts of the first infected person tested negative, 212 primary contacts of second infected have been quarantined and their results are awaited. All are asymptomatic.
Omicron reaches India, two cases detected in Karnataka

We need not panic, but awareness is absolutely essential. Covid appropriate behaviour is required,". Schools in Delhi shut down till further orders due to pollution

Earlier on November 13, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced to shut down physical classes in schools for a week, adding that education will continue in virtual mode. After a gap of almost two weeks, all schools in the national capital were reopening on November 29. This move of the Delhi government came after the Supreme Court of India gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the Centre, Delhi and its neighbouring states to act against rising air pollution.
